The Dog Therapist™ - A Flair for Success...

About Me & The System™

My company is based on the belief that my customers' and their dogs needs are of the utmost importance. I am totally committed to meeting those needs.

Twenty years ago, the very idea of a dog psychologist would have been ridiculed. If you had a problem dog it was believed that it was your fault - the ‘no bad dogs only bad owners’ theory - and the only remedy was to either suffer in silence and shame or destroy the dog.

Fortunately we have moved on from those days. It is now known that as many as 40% of dog owners experience difficulties with their dogs and increasing numbers are seeking help in the form of behaviour therapy.

Canine behaviour therapy attempts to modify the dog’s behaviour using tried and tested psychological principles for the benefit of both the dog and the owner. Therefore, in order to practise the therapy effectively, a sound understanding and knowledge of the underlying psychological theory is essential.

The Dog Therapist™ is fully qualified and has a market leading knowledge of canine psychology.

The System™ has been developed to allow the dog to learn self control and make the right choices when it comes to their behaviour. It is totally non-confrontational and anyone can do it. There is no pain or suffering involved for the dog or the owner come to mention it! All techniques and methods used are recommended and on occasion actually used by the veterinary industry. There are no gadgets or electronic gizmos that stun, shock or spray. I only use traditional and natural tried and tested methods which gets your dog behaving the way you want it to and all because they want to.

I guarantee that there are many questions you always wanted to ask about dogs.

For example:
  • Why does my dog urinate in the house even though he is house trained?
  • Why does my dog suffer from "Separation Anxiety"?
  • Can I stop my dog being scared of fireworks?!
  • Why does my dog hate the postman and nobody else?
  • Why does my dog chew the post?
  • Can my dog understand what I say?
  • What does my dog dream about?
  • How can I teach my dog to fetch my slippers?
  • Is punishment effective?
  • If my dog can’t feel guilt, why does he look guilty?
  • Why does my dog always bark in the car?
  • Why does my dog pull on the lead?
  • Why does my dog chase cars, bikes, children or other dogs?
  • Why does my dog jump up at visitors?

All these, and many more questions can be answered and more importantly RECTIFIED!

I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.

Areas Covered

A lot of dog psychologists may appear cheap at first but charge somewhat up to 50p per mile travelled from their home INCLUDING the time travelled. With The Dog Therapist™ this just doesn't happen. With every consultation the first 30 miles is covered in the cost of the consultation fee including time travelled! Then it's only 35p per mile after that. You do the maths!

If you think I am outside your area please still contact me and I will see if we can come to some sort of arrangement. If you don't ask you won't get!
